    Songs: Rock Salt and Nails, small hours, Excuse me mister, Sweet Little mystery, Solid Air.
    That is a current top five of both but does change almost every week!Ben.

  3. Credo che non ci sia nessun altro artista che mi abbia dato più di John nei 56 anni della mia vita. Ok, ci sono stati i Beatles e poi tanti e tanti altri nomi ancora e poi il jazz per cui oggi lavoro. Ma nulla e nessuno mi ha fatto così bene alla vita come John che continua incredibilmente a mancarmi come forse solo mia madre che, guarda caso, se ne è andata giusto poche ore dopo lui. Sono sicurissimo che ad attenderla di là, c'era John che le suonava May you never. Quando arriverò anche io, promettimi che ci berremo una birra insieme. Ciao John. Ti amo.

I have wondered what could be my favourite John Martyn gig, the truth is, it is quite a difficult task to select even just a few, they are all different, in feel, atmosphere, locations and much more. In fact they are best thought of as individually special nights and unique... from the Glasgow Pavilion with everyone shouting out names of songs to Cumbernauld Theatre solo gigs, Henry Afrikas, Ayr Pavilion. Telfords warehouse many times, once with tea and food afterwards, another on Jm's birthday with party poppers. The Bridgewater Hall Sunshine Boys with Danny T, the Liverpool Philharmonic outstanding gigs, speaking with Alan T at Alexanders to be introduced to the Famous Bein Inn, intimate and very special. All very different, a tapestry of venues for a tapestry of songs which cover life, relationships and all aspects.. musical genius..
